Wells Fargo Awards Grant to Assist Veterans

The Gaston College Foundation, Inc. today announced a $12,500 grant from Wells Fargo.
Grant funds will be used to engage veterans in workforce development programs through ongoing orientation and advising programs. Additionally, the grant will support veteran services through information fairs for veterans as well as professional development for faculty and staff on best practices to promote veteran student success.

We are appreciative of the support to enhance the services for Veterans to help them become aware of workforce development opportunities at Gaston College.”

Since 2012, Wells Fargo has contributed more than $100 million to support members of the military, veterans, and their families who may be facing financial hardships through sustainable housing, career transition programs, financial education, and home donations to wounded veterans. Their contributions include more than 350 mortgage-free home donations, valued at over $55 million, to veterans in all 50 states through the Military Home Donation Program.
