Mrs. Dianne Crosby-Self and Mrs. Taylor Self-Potter have established a scholarship in memory of Corporal Katelyn Self.

Cpl. Self was raised in Dallas, NC and was a graduate of North Gaston High School and attended Gaston College. She was a Deputy with the Gaston County Sheriff’s Office for four years before being tragically killed on May 20, 2018. To honor her memory as a loving and devoted daughter, sister, aunt, and friend to all, her family has established this scholarship to provide financial support for students pursuing a career in Law Enforcement.

The family encourages members of the community to contribute to this fund to honor the memory of Corporal Katelyn Self.
